Traditional dry firing requires the slide to be cocked or the hammer cocked (for single-action firing). Action between shots disrupts the natural flow of engaging multiple targets in an array. With SIRT, more kicks = more training.

I am nervous about shooting a gun. The ease of training with the SIRT gives me more confidence that I can pull the trigger. It would be even better if it came with a Smith & Wesson M&P, which I modified with a thumb drive where the safety should be. I had to experiment before I could figure out how to match the weight of the pistol, but removing the magazine brought the weight pretty close. A little technical support allows me to remove the back rest so that my hand can fit the SIRT like a pistol.
I bought the pocket pistol version for my wife for Christmas. He asked for it. I didn't hear it. It arrived quickly and I checked and adjusted it for a lighter trigger and canceled the trigger laser. He spun a fiery laser. I've used it a few times to figure out where I hit an off-target snapshot. I'm not too impressed with myself. Regardless, I think it's a quality product so far and definitely useful for safe practices around the house.

My first SIRT developed trigger problems after about a year. It became "sticky + squishy." Unfortunately, I waited until the warranty expired to contact Next Level Training. So it will cost me to fix it.
I use my SIRT every day. I bought a second one so I'll have something to practice on before my first one gets fixed.

Very good for developing good grip, position, trigger pull. Seeing where the laser is hitting provides immediate feedback that can help you determine what adjustments you need.
Sirt Training Pistol Glock Style Laser Training

I am a newer instructor, but based on what many people have told me, the SIRT is the best for training students, so I decided to invest in one. Introducing Sirt Training Tools
As of this writing (and my intention is to update this), there are five different models of SIRT pistols. Four of these five are intended to closely imitate a particular make/model of firearm. These four firearms are the Glock 17, Full-Size Smith and Wesson M&P, Sig Sauer P320 and Sig Sauer P320 Carry.
The fifth is the SIRT "Pocket Pistol", which is not designed to imitate any particular make or model, but more generally resembles a single stack of popular micro-compact guns.
So, as you can see from the chart above, if your primary firearm is a Glock 19/17, S&W M&P, or P320, this decision will be really easy. Everyone will need more information.
