Never forget that a gun has the potential to cause injury or death in the event of carelessness. Make gun safety a habit to follow at all times. After determining that the gun is unloaded, proceed to handle it as if it were loaded.
In choosing a safe direction, you must also consider that the bullet can ricochet or see off anything it hits, and that bullets can penetrate walls, ceilings, floors and windows.
3) Keep your finger on the trigger guard and off the trigger until you have aligned the sights on the safe target and decided to fire.
Glock 41, My First Glock, Many More To Come In The Future!
By keeping your finger completely off the trigger guard until you reach the target, you ensure that any shots you fire will travel safely in the direction of the target.
Remember that a bullet can travel many miles, so you need to be sure what your bullet can hit before you pull the trigger. Do not fire motion, noise, light of color, or wildfire without properly defining your target. When the Glock 41 was announced, I remember thinking: "Such a package, mercy is too heavy for my hand!"
Since I have both G30 compact and G21 full size 45ACP Glocks, I was hesitant to let them go because of the thick handles. I can shoot those guns with two hands, but the one-handed grip is not that strong. For single-handed combat rifles, that's a problem.
About a year after the G41 was announced, I got my hands on a half-dozen standard magazines and the first 25-rounder was adopted for the matching carbine.
New G41 With Pics, **range Report Pg 3**
The G41 and G42 that come with it are the first Generation 4 Glocks that I have considered closely. The fit and finish was beyond anything I'd seen up to that point, and the lightly textured slides resisted dirt and wear in a truly impressive way.
Holding the G41 gives a pleasant shock: the handle fits my hand well. While very similar to the G21 in girth, consider it smaller than the Gen.3 short gun. The 5.3″ long barrel balances the gun so it points naturally and stays balanced in the hand. The shape of the grip, subtle to the eye, works very well to keep the gun in place. It is noted that the current Gen.4 G21 will have the same grip design as the G41, and the 21SF will be even smaller - but the G21's slide is much heavier and the pistol is actually two sizes heavier.
The backstraps of the G41 are easily changed, so that the girth of the boot can be adjusted, as well as the value of the beavertail. This improved efficiency translates directly into the comfort of shooters and increased endurance: shooting about 200 rounds in a row with the G41 is a very comfortable process.
Even an assault rifle won't be much use if it's too big to handle. The G41 proved to be a good fit. While it's 2/3″ longer than a 1911 (with a 1/3″ barrel to show for it), it's compact and lightweight. We loaded the M1911 (8 + 1) and the 8 spare paper has about 3.5 kilograms, the same as the 13 + 1 G41 with a spare. Total tackle count is 17 vs. 27, a huge advantage for Glock. Worn with, Eagle Defender from Nelson Holsters, I don't care more than I would a G17 - that is, not at all.

Just curious, I have a 5'2" tall teacher who wears the gun and it looks as easy to handle as any shorter model. The grip is similar enough to the M&P models in the 1911 and full, while the extra inch or barrel makes no difference in comfort. Tiffany who edited my photo saw that the gun was ready to go with the armor and vest she was carrying as her medium gun.
The difference in barrel length is not significant in terms of speed: relative to the 4.6″ G21, the long slide weapon has an advantage of 30 to 50 fps and the muzzle flash is slightly reduced. The real advantages of a long slide gun are the improved design of the smaller muzzle flip, less room under the dust cover for the light/laser unit and a larger sight radius. A little extra distance to the front eye really helps bring it into focus and keep it sharp while shooting. If increased muzzle velocity appeals to you, shoot lighter bullets: they get a larger diameter with increased barrel length.
True to the Glock name, the gun digested all types of ammunition thrown at it, from steel balls to bulletproof vests to lightweight materials. The point of impact varies significantly even at 7 yards, with the 150gr L-Tech frangibles impacting two inches less than the 230gr Pierce FMJ. Accuracy was good with all loads, even the rarest of rare storm balls. Excellent accuracy comes from HPR and federal protection loads.
Rather than taking my time with each shot, I would aim carefully once, and shoot as soon as the front sight came back. Shooting faster than I could with the 9mm G17, I kept the magazine one inch on the sides at 7 yards. The range had a group of Cro Magnon 3D targets placed at about 15 yards, and I made a quick failure to stop the exercise, two to the waist followed by one to the head. And never miss out! Usually, in the indoor range, I have a problem with my eyes losing focus on the front view. This is not a problem for the G41. The rise and rise of the muzzle is not visible, as is typical for the G17.
What Gen Is My Glock
Compared to double-stack 1911s, it is much lighter and easier to hold. Magazines are 1/3 to 1/4 as much, and the gun itself retails for around $650. Enough of the slide's metal is milled to compensate for the reduced weight of sights like the Trijicon RMR. If you choose an optical sight, I highly recommend that you go with the high metal scopes for proofing. It will not only give you a backup sight option, but also speed up reticle handling.
Shooting Glocks since 1998, I previously considered them functional but uncomfortable. The G41 was the first model to catch my fancy as we as my helping hands. Smaller calibers with lighter bullets, such as the 9×19 and 10mm Auto, benefit more from barrel length and therefore will be worth revisiting.
