Glock 41 Capacity
Glock G41 Gen4 45 Auto (ACP) 5.31" Black Nitride Pistol - 13+1 Rounds - The Glock 41 Gen4 is a 45 Auto (ACP) caliber pistol. The longer barrel and slide help reduce muzzle curl and recoil, while the extended aiming distance provides better accuracy. The modular harness system can instantly customize its grip to fit any hand size. The reversible magazine catch makes it suitable for both left-handed and right-handed shooters. Glock's firearm ecosystem, all based on a common operating system but diversifying into different calibers and sizes, has proven to be a very successful strategy for the company. One of the larger Glock pistols is the Glock 41. The Glock 41 was marketed to competition shooters and those who wanted a soft shooting .45 automatic pistol.
Glock G40 Gen4 Mos
Glock's original 9mm pistol, the Glock 17, was designed by self-taught gun designer Gaston Glock to compete for a pistol contract with the Austrian Army. The Glock 17 uses a polymer frame to save weight, two rows of high-capacity magazines put the "17" in the Glock 17, and most importantly, better reliability.
The pistol became popular in America when airport metal detectors made unsubstantiated claims of being "undetectable". As the Glock business was exploding, the company took on a new idea: port the basic gun operating system to the outside, to as many calibers and sizes as possible. While many gun companies eventually followed the Austrian company's lead, Glock was the first to bring a single pistol design to so many variants.
One of the first variants of the Glock series was the Glock 21, followed by the Glock 41. Both Glocks were based on the original Glock 17, but reloaded in .45 ACP. One of the main advantages of the Glock 21 and 41 is the use of double post magazines to create a pistol that holds 13 rounds of .45 ACP. This is twice the capacity of the 1911A1 series pistols which can fire up to 8 rounds. As owners of the 1911A1 were notoriously successful, the Glock .45 ACP pistol was a welcome addition to the market.
The Glock 41 is not a small pistol; At 8.78 inches long with a 5.31 inch barrel, it is the longest Glock pistol on the market. The company advertises it as a "long slide" pistol with a long aiming distance, especially for competition shooters. At 5.47 inches long, it's shorter than the Glock 21, and the one-inch sliding makes it one of the narrowest offerings from the Austrian gunmaker.
Glock Drum Magazines
The combination of polymer slide and steel frame makes this pistol not only durable but also lighter than all steel pistols. At just 36.51 ounces with a 13-round magazine, the Glock 41 is lighter than the smaller, similarly configured Glock 21. A third of the weight is the larger 230-grain round, and the pistol weighs just 26 ounces.
The Glock 41, like all other Glock pistols, is a double-action striker pistol. The Model 41 has the same three safety features as the company's other pistols: a trigger safety to ensure finger presence, a firing pin safety, and a fall safety to prevent accidental firing while falling. All three safety switches must be disengaged for the gun to fire. Like all Glock pistols, the Model 41 does not have a manual safety to prevent the trigger from being pulled.
The long aiming radius, long barrel, and light trigger pull make the Glock 41 an excellent match pistol. The pistol had less muzzle flip than other Glock pistols and the muzzle rose sharply after firing. This is likely due to the extra weight on the slide and barrel, but is also a function of the pistol's superior ergonomics. Although considered a competition shooter, the Glock 41 should be considered by anyone who wants a .45 caliber Glock but is concerned about muzzle flip and the ability to control muzzle rise. As a match pistol, the long slide gun has a trigger pull of 24 newtons compared to the Glock 21's 28 newtons.
The Glock 41 may be a large pistol, but it's a good gun for shooting larger caliber rounds. Although a competition gun, it should have broad appeal among big-bore enthusiasts and small-bore Glock pistol owners interested in expanding their horizons. While it's larger and more chambered than the rest of the pack, it's still the heart of the Glock.

, War Is Boring and The Daily Beast. In 2009, he co-founded Japan Security Watch, a defense and security blog. There's a reason the Glock line of safety pistols is one of the most popular pistols on the planet. Because no matter what you're looking for, there's usually something for everyone in your party. The Glock 41 Gen 4 is a good example.
This .45 caliber pistol has a longer barrel and slide than some others in the line. This polymer framed pistol appears to have a notch similar to the G32. However, it has gained some loyal fans in the law enforcement community.
Here's everything you need to know about the semi-automatic G41 Gen4.
While most Glock pistols are pretty much the same, the Glock Model 41 stands out a bit because of its long slide and barrel length. They fitted the gun with a 5.31" barrel and the overall length of the gun is 8.78". This makes the gun's profile closer to a classic 1911 than a typical Glock. We feel this is intentional, mostly trying to convert some of the 1911 diehards to the Glock. Considering the price of a new 1911, this was a smart move for Glock. The new Glock G41 Gen 4 is about half the price of a high end 1911. The Glock 41 also offers a roomy ammo capacity that holds 13 rounds of .45 ACP.

Regardless of their intentions, this is a great gun. Same height as the Glock 17 at 5.47 inches. However, the G41 Gen 4 weighs about 4 ounces or 36.51 ounces with a 13-round magazine.
On their website, Glock labels the Glock 41 as a "competition" pistol. This makes sense, the longer slide and barrel give the gun a longer aiming distance. The company also says it helps reduce recoil and muscle roll compared to the company's other big-bore offerings, the Glock 20 or Glock 30.
Glock also offers the Glock 41 Gen 4 MOS variant. The guns are similar in features. It features the same double-sided magazine catch and modular harness system as the standard Glock 41. The only difference is that it has a MOS configuration. This allows you to mount the sight directly on the rail that comes out of the box without having to buy a bunch of aftermarket parts.
While you'll hear this gun compared to many others in the Glock line, the most common comparison is to their other .45 ACP offering, the very popular Glock 21. You might think the Glock G41 Gen4's larger frame would make it heavier, but despite the same magazine capacity and shorter barrel, the G21 weighs a few ounces.
How Many Rounds Does A Glock Hold?
The only real difference is the slideshow. Going back again to the 1911 comparison, Glock significantly shortened the Glock 41's socket. The difference is obvious when comparing the slides of these guns to each other. The G21 has a solid slider that adds weight.
The Glock 21 is slightly shorter in overall length and taller than the G41, although these differences are not noticeable unless you compare the two guns head-to-head.
